Add a personal touch to your group
One size doesn’t always fit all, with that in mind, group managers can now create custom message templates to automate common group management activities:
- Acknowledging membership requests
- Welcoming new members
- Explaining declined requests
In addition, managers can now communicate with each other “behind the scenes” by leaving notes on the request-to-join list.

Ever had old friends not recognize your married name? LinkedIn now allows you to display both a last name and a maiden name on your profile, like Hillary (Rodham) Clinton. So whether people search by the name they knew in college or by your married surname, they’ll find both in search results.
